Help-Selfmate

In a Help-Selfmate, White moves first, and both sides cooperate (or “help” each other) up to the penultimate move, aiming to reach a position where White has a selfmate in one—that is, White can force Black to deliver checkmate on the next move. Thus, in a Help-Selfmate in n moves (hs#n), the two sides collaborate through the first n–1 moves, and on the nth move, White compels Black to deliver checkmate.
